The Extended Project Qualification

In addition to A level qualifications, all students undertake an EPQ qualification. This qualification allows students to get to grips with University style research and writing. Student’s complete their EPQ on a subject of their own choice – so it’s the ideal opportunity to explore a theme related to a desired University programme or career aim. Many Russell group Universities use successful completion of an EPQ as part of their student selection.

Students have one taught EPQ lesson per week where they learn the skills and techniques required to complete an EPQ and their EPQ teacher also acts as the supervisors to their individual project, providing advice and guidance throughout the journey of completing the EPQ.
